Primasole Bridge

This was the first of two battles fought today. The Web Master is still awaiting a game report for these battles. However I will include a short resume for the time being.

The battle involved British infantry trying to secure and hold a vital bridge during the Sicilian campaign. German paratroops and reinforcements intended to recapture the bridge before the British reinforcements could arrive in strength.

BATTLE CHAOS IN SPACE

There it was, an incredibly ancient jump gate engine which had been discovered in a star system claimed by everyone but belonging to no one.

The first force to arrive was a large fleet of the Denz Domain, the local big boys.  Close on their heels were small fleets of the minor powers, the Hollen and the Tibbar.  However things only got nasty when a large fleet of the new boys on the block, the Denz-Kryoc, arrived.

With never a bye your leave the Denz-Kryoc vice-admiral targeted the Tibbar with a mass of the latest battlecruisers; the Tibbar flagship did not last long. The Hollen immediately open negotiations for their very survival.

There was then a lull, as the Denz recognised they were a little outgunned and avoided hostile action with the Denz-Kryoc.  This was not to last, as suddenly arriving by warp drive was a major fleet of the Cona Commonwealth, the most technically advanced and oldest race in the region.

Firstly the Cona threatened the Denz, who held their fire. Then they suddenly warped in behind the Denz-Kryoc fleet. The Cona opened fire.  It was however the Denz-Kryoc’s lucky day as their fire was wildly inaccurate.

Things looked to be getting very nasty when the jump gate engine, which had been affecting the Cona warp drives and other races engines, gave an almighty pulse of power, crippling a number of vessels and frying a nearby minor planet as well!

The Cona fleet warped away, while all the other races disengaged to save themselves.  All the others, that is except the Tibbar, who having had all their ships destroyed, could only die in the silence of space as the power of their life pods drained away!
